Enviroware
Enviroware™ is certified by an independent testing agency as 100% biodegradable. In addition, Enviroware™ is
FDA approved and meets the strictest standards of the Food Grade HACCP certification from AIB.
Enviroware™ products are formulated to interact with micro-organisms that are present in standard landfi lls,
composting landfills and in our natural environment. These micro-organisms attack the molecular structure of
the plastic and metabolize those structures, breaking it down into organic compounds. Enviroware™ products
do not contain any dyes or pigments that could be harmful to the environment. In addition, Enviroware™ plates,
trays, bowls and hinged containers are the only plastic resin based products in the world that are both 100%
biodegradable and are manufactured in an environmentally friendly manner that does not use hydrocarbons in the
manufacturing process.

Environmentally-Friendly Products (Recycled)
These products are made from 100% recycled material, including pre and post-consumer
waste. Pre-consumer meaning that it has NEVER passed through consumer hands and
post-consumer meaning AFTER it passes through consumer hands from recycling. These
products are all made with a chlorine-free process or are made in a kraft (or tan) color
obtained from recycled cardboard. They come in all grades of tissue including a facial
grade that is very soft to the touch. The manufacturer uses reclaimed water saving several
thousands of gallons a year and is an active member of the U.S. Green Building Council.

Molded Fiber Products
These molded fiber products are made from 100% post-consumer recycled products.
They are NOT made with any virgin wood fiber. They are strong and sturdy products
that have been molded into plates and bowls, made with a chlorine-free procedure and
soy-based ink. These products are endorsed by the Green Restaurant Association and
are all certified compostable by the Biodegradable Product Institute.

Earth-Friendly Chemicals
Sysco Earth Plus Chemicals are recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s DfE
program (Designed for the Environment). They are measured by biodegradability, aquatic toxicity
and human toxicity. As with all of our products, the chemicals are still subject to the stringent
Sysco quality assurance performance testing process. Sysco offers the most extensive line of
these products, more than any other food service company.
